Dr. Bao Nguyen, DDS has been quietly straightening grown-up smiles here on Date Street since 2010. Teeth Straightening in Murrieta
Straightening adult teeth without putting your life on hold
Most adults who come in about braces have wanted straighter teeth for years. What stopped them was rarely the money — it was the picture in their head of a mouthful of metal in a work meeting. That picture is out of date. Today the same result that used to take a wire and brackets can usually be done with a series of thin, clear trays that almost nobody notices.
Dr. Bao Nguyen is a UCLA-trained general dentist and a ten-year U.S. Navy veteran who has treated Murrieta families since 2010. He provides clear aligner therapy in-house, plans each case around your bite and your gum health, and — this part matters — will tell you honestly when a case is better handled by a specialist. You get a straight answer before you spend a dollar.
Everything runs out of one office at 26957 Date St, Suite B4, with digital scanning instead of the old putty impressions, transparent pricing, and no pressure to add on treatment you don't need. If clear aligners are right for you, we'll say so. If they aren't, we'll say that too.
Why Murrieta Adults Choose Aligners
Built for a working adult's calendar
There's a wedding coming up, a promotion, a headshot, a kid's graduation — something on the calendar that makes you finally want to fix that one tooth that's bugged you for a decade. Clear aligners fit that reality. They come out for lunch and go back in after, so your day doesn't revolve around your treatment.
Straighter teeth aren't only cosmetic, either. Crowded and overlapping teeth trap plaque in spots a brush can't reach, which quietly raises your risk of decay and gum disease over time. Closing those gaps and overlaps makes your teeth genuinely easier to keep clean — a point worth pairing with a routine ultrasonic cleaning.
And because the trays are clear, the people across the conference table usually never know you're wearing them. For a lot of our Murrieta and Temecula patients, that discretion is the whole reason they finally said yes.
An Honest Comparison
Clear aligners vs. traditional braces
Both move teeth by applying steady, gentle pressure over time. The difference is how they do it and how they feel day to day. For most adult cases we see, clear aligners win on comfort and appearance. But traditional braces still have their place, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Where clear aligners shine
They're removable, so you brush, floss, and eat normally. There are no brackets to scrape your cheeks and no emergency visits for a poking wire. They're nearly invisible, and for everyday crowding, spacing, and mild-to-moderate bite issues, they do the job beautifully. Fewer chair-side adjustments usually means fewer trips to the office, which working adults appreciate.
Where fixed braces still win
Certain severe rotations, large bite corrections, and complex movements are still more predictable with fixed braces — and a few cases involve skeletal or jaw problems that need an orthodontist or oral surgeon. When that's your situation, Dr. Nguyen will say so and point you to a specialist he trusts. Prefer a bonded fix for one chipped or slightly gapped front tooth instead of full alignment? Sometimes teeth bonding or porcelain veneers solve a small aesthetic concern faster than months of tooth movement.
What to Expect
How clear aligner treatment works at our Date Street office
1. A real exam first
Every case starts with a $20 exam and digital X-rays so Dr. Nguyen can confirm your teeth, gums, and bone are healthy enough to move. Aligning teeth on top of untreated decay or gum disease is how people get into trouble, so we handle the foundation before we talk trays.
2. A digital scan and a preview of your result
If you're a good candidate, we take a comfortable iTero digital scan — no putty, no gagging — and use it to map out exactly how your teeth will move. You'll see a preview of the finished smile before you decide, along with your timeline and your exact cost.
3. Your custom trays, one set at a time
You'll wear each set of aligners roughly 20 to 22 hours a day, swapping to the next set every one to two weeks as your teeth ease into place. You take them out to eat and to brush, and that's it. Consistency does the heavy lifting here.
4. Quick check-ins
Every few weeks we check that everything is tracking the way it should and hand you your next trays. Most adults reach their result in about 12 to 18 months, though simpler cases finish sooner.
5. Retainers to lock it in
Teeth drift back if you let them, so your first set of retainers is included in your treatment. We'll show you how and when to wear them — usually at night — so the smile you paid for stays put.
Transparent Pricing
One flat price for Murrieta clear aligners: $4,500
We publish our price for the same reason we publish everything else — because you shouldn't have to guess. A standard clear aligner case is $4,500, and that number covers the parts other offices sometimes charge for later.
