The Dentist Fallbrook, CA Families Drive 25 Minutes to See
Promenade Dental Care — Dr. Bao Nguyen, DDS — Murrieta, just up I-15
Our office is not in downtown Fallbrook, and we would rather tell you that in the first sentence than have you find out in the parking lot. We are 25 to 30 minutes north on I-15, at 26957 Date St in Murrieta. Fallbrook families have made that drive since 2010 for a $20 exam with X-rays, flat published prices, same-day emergency care, and a Navy-trained dentist who did his residency at Camp Pendleton — right over the hill from your house.

An Honest Starting Point
Why Fallbrook Patients Skip the Local Options and Head Up the 15
Fallbrook has dentists. If you live near Main Avenue and want the shortest possible drive, one of them may be exactly right for you, and we will not pretend otherwise. The patients who come to us from Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow, and De Luz usually come for one of four specific reasons.
The prices are published and they do not move. A new-patient exam with digital X-rays costs $20. An ultrasonic cleaning costs $95. Dr. Nguyen writes the treatment plan himself, ranks it by urgency, and nobody in the office earns a commission for talking you into anything. That is not a marketing line; it is how the office has run for 16 years.
One dentist, not a rotation. Dr. Bao Nguyen graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry, then spent ten years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, including his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and deployments to Kuwait and Iraq. If you or your spouse served at Pendleton, there is a decent chance he treated people from your unit. He has run this one office since 2010, and he is the dentist you see at every visit.
Crowns in one trip, not two. A round trip from Fallbrook is close to an hour of driving. Our CEREC same-day crowns are milled in the office while you wait, so a crown that would normally cost you two trips and a temporary costs you one afternoon.
Emergencies get answered. Call (951) 412-0127 with a cracked tooth or an abscess and you talk to someone who can actually put you on the schedule — usually the same day. Our emergency dental care page explains what to do for the most common situations while you are on your way.
Everything Under One Roof
Dental Care Fallbrook Patients Book Most Often
Because the drive is part of your cost, we work to make each trip count. Families frequently stack appointments — a cleaning for one parent, a filling for a kid, an exam for grandma — into a single visit. These are the services Fallbrook patients ask about most:
Emergency Dentistry
Broken teeth, lost crowns, abscesses, and pain that will not wait. Call first; most emergencies are seen the same day.
$20 Exam & Digital X-Rays
A complete look at your mouth and a written, ranked treatment plan. No obligation, no pressure, no surprise add-ons.
$95 Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic scaling removes tartar more comfortably than hand scraping alone, at a flat price you know before you sit down.
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
Designed, milled, and cemented in one visit. No temporary crown, no second hour on I-15 next week.
Dental Implants
Permanent replacement for missing teeth, planned and restored by the same dentist from consult to final crown.
Dental Anxiety & Sedation
Sedation options and a slow, explained, stop-anytime approach for patients who have been avoiding the chair for years.
Kids & Family Dentistry
Short, calm first visits for little ones and back-to-back scheduling so the whole family is done in one trip.
Root Canals
Modern root canal therapy that saves the tooth and, done properly, feels closer to a long filling than to its reputation.
Cosmetic Dentistry & Veneers
Porcelain veneers, teeth bonding, and whitening planned around your face and budget rather than a catalog.
The full list — bridges, dentures, extractions, wisdom teeth, gum treatment, Invisalign — lives on our services page. If you are not sure what you need, that is precisely what the $20 exam is for.

What Your First Visit From Fallbrook Costs
Dental pricing anxiety is real, and it keeps people out of the chair until a small cavity becomes a root canal. The CDC’s oral health data shows how common untreated decay is among working-age adults, and cost is a leading reason. Our answer is to publish the numbers:
We Know Where You Live
A Word About Fallbrook Itself
Fallbrook is the self-declared Avocado Capital of the World, an unincorporated town of groves, nurseries, and long driveways in northern San Diego County. It is a wonderful place to live and a genuinely inconvenient place to need specialized services. Residents already drive for much of their shopping and medical care, whether south toward Oceanside and Vista or north up I-15 toward Temecula and Murrieta. Dental care ends up in the same calculus.
Our patients come from Main Avenue and Morro Hills, from the Bonsall side of the San Luis Rey River, from Rainbow near the county line, and from the base housing at Camp Pendleton. Many found us the same way: an emergency on a weekend, a phone call answered, and a dentist who fixed the problem without turning it into a five-figure treatment plan. The Fallbrook Regional Health District does good work connecting residents with local health resources, and we consider ourselves part of the wider ring of care the town draws on.
One more local note: Dr. Nguyen’s decade in the Navy included his AEGD residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. For a dentist, that residency means a high volume of complex cases — trauma, surgical extractions, full-mouth reconstruction on young Marines who did not floss in the field. It is the kind of caseload most private-practice dentists never see, and it shows up in how calmly your emergency gets handled.
Getting Here From Fallbrook
Plan on 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic. The simple version:
- Take E Mission Rd (or Old Highway 395) to the I-15 North on-ramp.
- Head north on I-15 past Rainbow and the Temecula wine country turnoffs.
- Keep left onto I-215 North at the Murrieta split.
- Exit at Murrieta Hot Springs Rd and head east.
- Turn left on Date St — we are at 26957 Date St, Suite B4, Murrieta, CA 92563.
Coming from Bonsall, CA-76 east to I-15 North works the same way. If you get turned around, call (951) 412-0127 and we will talk you in.
In Their Words
What Patients Say After the Drive
I put off a broken molar for two weeks because I dreaded the cost conversation. Dr. Bao showed me the X-ray, gave me one price, and fixed it that afternoon with a same-day crown. Worth every minute on the freeway.
Verified Google review • North San Diego County patient
As a retired Marine, I appreciated that he trained at Pendleton. No sales pitch, no nonsense. He told me two things on my old treatment plan didn’t actually need doing. Who does that?

We do not curate a highlight reel — read the unfiltered reviews yourself on our Google Business profile or on Yelp. Over 200 patients have left five-star Google reviews since 2010, and the pattern in them is consistent: honest pricing, no pressure, pain handled seriously.

Straight Answers
Fallbrook Patient Questions, Answered Honestly
Where is your office, and how far is it from Fallbrook?
Our office is at 26957 Date St, Suite B4 in Murrieta, about 25 to 30 minutes from downtown Fallbrook up I-15. We are not located inside Fallbrook, and we will never pretend otherwise. Fallbrook families have been making the drive to us since 2010 because the appointment itself is worth more than the mileage: honest treatment plans, published prices, and a dentist who answers his own phone.
Can you see a dental emergency from Fallbrook the same day?
In most cases, yes. Call (951) 412-0127 and Dr. Nguyen or his staff will talk through what is happening before you drive anywhere. A cracked tooth, a lost crown, swelling, or pain that keeps you up at night usually gets a same-day or next-morning slot. If your situation involves facial trauma or uncontrolled bleeding, go to the nearest emergency room first, then call us for follow-up care.
Do you take my dental insurance?
We accept all PPO dental plans and are in-network with Delta Dental PPO, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, Aetna, and United Concordia. If you have no insurance, our fees are published and flat: a $20 new-patient exam with digital X-rays and a $95 ultrasonic cleaning. CareCredit financing is available for larger treatment.
Is the $20 exam really $20, or is there a catch?
It is really $20, and it includes digital X-rays. You leave with a written picture of what is going on in your mouth and what it would cost to fix, in order of urgency. There is no obligation to schedule anything. Some patients take that information and get a second opinion elsewhere, which we consider a perfectly good use of $20.
Do you treat military families from Camp Pendleton and Fallbrook?
Yes, and it is personal for us. Dr. Nguyen spent ten years as a U.S. Navy dentist and completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, just over the hill from Fallbrook. He treated Marines and sailors for a decade before opening this practice. Military families get straight answers here, the same way they would have gotten them on base.
I have serious dental anxiety. What do you actually do about it?
We built the practice around it. Dr. Nguyen offers sedation options, explains every step before it happens, and stops the moment you raise a hand. Many of our Fallbrook patients came to us after years of avoiding dentists entirely. Read about our approach on the dental anxiety page, or just tell us when you call and we will plan the visit around your comfort.
Do you see kids from Fallbrook?
Yes. We are a family practice, and Dr. Nguyen treats children alongside their parents. Fallbrook families often book back-to-back appointments so the whole household is handled in one trip up the freeway. First visits for young kids are kept short and low-pressure.
Why would I drive to Murrieta instead of seeing a dentist in Fallbrook?
Some Fallbrook patients should stay local, and we will say so. People drive to us for specific reasons: published flat pricing with no upselling, CEREC same-day crowns so a crown takes one visit instead of two, a dentist who has placed thousands of restorations over 16 years in the same office, and 200 or more five-star Google reviews from real patients. If those things matter to you, the 25 minutes on I-15 is a fair trade.
For general oral-health information beyond what any dentist’s website should try to cover, the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the California Dental Association are reliable starting points. You can verify Dr. Nguyen’s California license through the Dental Board of California.
Twenty Dollars and Twenty-Five Minutes
That is the whole ask. Come up once, get the exam and X-rays, hear the honest version of what your mouth needs, and decide from there. Plenty of Fallbrook families started exactly that way — sixteen years ago, some of them.
